Spring is finally here, and that means warmer temperatures, sunny weather, and beautiful blooms popping up all over the city. Plus, now that winter is on its way out, there are all kinds of fun activities to partake in. From strolling along Ogden Point to high tea at Abkhazi Garden, check out this list of what to do in Victoria this spring.

High Tea at Abkhazi Garden

The Abkhazi Garden is perhaps one of the city’s best kept secrets. While tourists flock to the stunning Butchart Gardens, Abkhazi Garden, though smaller in size, is equally charming. The Abkhazi Garden was created by Prince and Princess Abkhazi back in 1946. The garden sits on the same property as the heritage home that the royals once lived in. Today, the home has been turned into a tearoom that offers a range of high tea and lunch options to guests. For the ultimate spring experience, enjoy afternoon tea in the tearoom before making your way into the garden for a stroll.

Ogden Point Breakwater

There’s no better time to enjoy Ogden Point than spring. Though it’s open year-round, the summer and fall tend to be busy while the winter brings cold, rainy weather. In spring, you can typically avoid the crowds, giving you a chance to marvel at the beauty of the ocean. The Ogden Point Breakwater features a pathway stretching 850 metres into the ocean. It’s a great spot for spotting wildlife or storm watching on a rainy day.

Beacon Hill Park

Not far from Ogden Point is Beacon Hill Park. This is one of the most popular parks in Victoria. It is bursting with amenities, from a picnic area and duck ponds to a rose garden and several scenic walking paths. Families will love visiting Beacon Hill Children’s Farm, where kids have the chance to get up close and personal with the farm’s resident goats. There’s something for everyone at this Victoria park, and it’s especially beautiful in the springtime.

If you’ll be in Victoria this spring, then we suggest visiting the spots above. And if you need a place to stay during your visit, you’re always welcome at the Days Inn Victoria Uptown.
