As the weather starts to cool down and the darkness of winter begins to creep in, light up your evenings with laughter at a comedy show! There are some great shows lined up for November, so start planning your trip and book your tickets now — because a sold-out show is no laughing matter!

John Cleese | November 4

The legendary John Cleese comes to Victoria on November 4th to perform ‘Why There is No Hope’ at the Royal Theatre! You probably know John Cleese from Monty Python’s Flying Circus, Fawlty Towers, and A Fish Called Wanda. His British sense of humour transcends borders, and he has been dubbed “the funniest man in the world”. Don’t miss your chance to witness Cleese’s genius in person this fall — tickets start at $101.50.

Jim Jefferies | November 16

Jim Jefferies is one of the most popular comedians around, appearing on countless television shows, podcasts, and his own collection of specials on Netflix. Don’t miss your chance to see this legend live this November at the Save on Foods Memorial Centre on November 16th! Jefferies will be performing his ‘Night Talker Tour’, with “controversial and belief-challenging” comedy that you won’t forget. Tickets start at just $39.50 and go up to $225 for a VIP experience.

Just For Laughs Comedy Night in Canada hosted by Rick Mercer November 15 & 16

The Just for Laughs Comedy Tour is returning this fall! This will be the 18th year of the tour, so you can bet the shows will be bigger and better than ever before. Canadian comedy legend Rich Mercer will be hosting the shows, which will feature Canadian comedy superstars such as Ivan Decker (2018 Juno Award winner for comedy album of the year), Debra DiGiovanni, and Ali Hassan. Even better, the Just for Laughs Comedy Tour is partnering with Movember Canada to raise funds for men’s health initiatives. One dollar from every ticket sold to the shows will be donated to the Movember Canada fund — so you can feel good while getting your laugh on. Shows will be happening at the Farquhar Auditorium at the University of Victoria campus.

Checking out a comedy show in Victoria is one of the best ways to warm up as the temperatures start to plunge! And to keep you even more warm and cozy, Days Inn Victoria Uptown has great amenities like a heated indoor pool and dry saunas to make your winter worries melt away. We’re sure you’ll love your stay with us, and that’s no joke!
