There’s a little bit of something for everyone in Victoria. Whatever you’re looking for, be it nature, culture, or one-off events, you’ll find that your needs are well catered for in the capital city of British Columbia. If it’s events that you’re looking for, then just take a look at some of what we’ve coming up during the last days of August and early part of September. Adult museum nights, rib festivals, and moon festivals -- and this is all on top of all the usual fun things to do in the city.

Night at the museum

Museums are fun whatever age you are, but do you ever feel that, you know, you have to leave all the fun stuff for the kids? Well, do we have the event for you. The Night at the Museum: Maya event is just for adults, and will include food and drinks, entertainment. You can even stay the entire night, if you want!

Ribs on the BBQ

If the idea of eating sizzling ribs freshly off the BBQ appeals to you, then take a look at the Esquimalt Ribfest, which attracts up to 40,000 visitors (the ribs are really good…). Taking place at Bullen Park from September 6 - 8, the ribs are sold in support of local charities.

Magic of the moon

Gordon Head Recreation Centre and Lambrick Park will be hosting the Moon Festival Celebration Lantern on September 14. It’s an uplifting, multicultural event that showcases Asian dance groups, and an opportunity for the little ones in your clan to make their own lantern.
