With the recent snowfall that has dusted the historic city of Victoria with powder, it is a winter wonderland out there — and offers the perfect opportunity to enjoy some seasonal activities!

CARHA/Pacific Cup Hockey Tournament

Taking place from January 17 to 19 at various arenas throughout Victoria, the Pacific Cup Hockey Tournament has some of the best adult recreational hockey players in the province facing off against each other. The tournament has run annually for over 40 years, making it a longstanding and anticipated tradition for both participants and spectators. Take a peek at the schedule and make sure to catch an  exciting game if you are planning a visit on the tournament dates noted above.

Butchart Gardens

Designated a National Historic Site of Canada, the gorgeous Butchart Gardens is an absolute must-visit destination in Victoria. Throughout the year you can view the sprawling, 55-acre site that features millions of bedding plants representing over 900 varieties. This season, witness delicate snowdrops and lush hellebore provide a quiet kind of beauty over the entire Winter Garden. Complimentary umbrellas are available on rainy days. For those who prefer not to venture outside, stroll on the flagstone paths in the Spring Prelude Indoor Garden while taking in the magnificent sights of enchanting daffodils and tulips standing alongside vivid tropical plants and orchids. To optimize your experience at the Butchart Gardens, book a boat tour, ice skate, ride the Rose Carousel or visit the Children's Pavillion.
