Upcoming holiday happenings in Victoria: wreaths, gifts, and a Christmas classic

There’s much to love about the upcoming holiday season wherever you are, but if you’re visiting Victoria, then you’ll find there’s just that little bit more to get you into the festive groove. If you’re visiting the city towards the end of November and into December, then you’ll find a whole host of seasonal goings-on to keep entertained, having fun, and feeling festive. Coming up we have a chance to do a spot of craft making, an opportunity to buy that perfect gift, and a performance of one the world’s most beloved ballets. Check out the details below.
 

DIY holiday goodness

How magical would it be to have a wreath that you made hanging over your door this holiday season? By attending the Nautical Wreath Workshop at The Maritime Museum of British Columbia, that’s just what can happen. Taking place on November 24 from 1 - 4 pm, you’ll transform a piece of rope into a beautiful wreath. Fun!
 

Picking up a gift

Winter markets are always fun affairs. On December 1, the one day Oaklands West Coast Winter Market will take place. There’ll be warm drinks, food, crafts, live music, and much more to keep you and your family having fun. Takes place at Oaklands Community Centre.
 

On the stage

Who doesn’t love the Nutcracker? No-one! You’ll love the version by the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, too, which takes place in Canada. There’ll also be live music presented by the Victoria Symphony, so you know that this is going to be a performance to remember. Takes place November 30 - December 2.
