Valentine’s Day isn’t so far away! And if you haven’t yet got anything planned when it comes to celebrating the day of love, then you could do worse than booking a trip to Victoria. While the region is naturally romantic, it’s not just the scenery that makes hearts swoon: the city also has plenty of lovey-dovey activities and events for couples to enjoy too. Coming up from mid-February onwards we have three events that’ll fill your hearts with love. Check out the details below.

The sound of love

If there are two people who knew how to woo a lady the correct way, it was John Lennon and Paul McCartney, two people who wrote some of the most iconic love songs ever recorded. From February 14 - 16, the David Foster Foundation Theatre will be hosting All You Need is Love, with Michael Sicoly and Friends. Head down, hear the songs, and dance with your partner. That’s romantic!

In a natural environment

There’s nothing that’ll quite get the heart stirring than a walk in the beautiful outdoors. If you’re visiting on a Sunday, you can join the birdwatching tour at the Swan Lake Christmas Hill Nature Sanctuary. You’ll love walking arm in arm as you spot the birds that call the area home.

Classic date night

Fun couples may want to check out the The Sound of Music, which will be taking place from February 15 - April 5 at Chemainus Theatre Festival. It’s a classic date night!

The only way to round off a romantic trip to the city is to stay at the best hotel in Vancouver. At the Days Inn Victoria Uptown Hotel, you’ll be able to choose from a range of room types, so you can stay in accommodations that are perfect for the needs of you and your partner, and also receive access to amenities that include a heated indoor pool and sauna.
