Breakwater Market

Taking place behind the Breakwater Café & Bistro on Dallas road every Sunday until August 13, this public market offers a winning blend of local arts and crafts vendors, locally-grown vegetables, artisan baked goods and tasty snacks. It also boasts a free mini music festival by the sea.

Sidney Street Market

This renowned market attracts up to 5,000 people every Thursday evening until August. Sidney’s charming Beacon Street is closed to traffic for the event, which boasts 150 vendors. Check out the locally grown produce, the handmade jewellery, clothing, toys, flowers, handmade soaps and home-made breads, jams and fudge.

James Bay Market

Located in a great spot on the grassy area on the corner of Menzies and Superior – right between the iconic Parliament buidlings and the James Bay Tea Room – the James Bay market offers everything from arts and crafts to flowers, fresh gruit and vegetables and hot and cold snacks. It’s also a great place to catch some live music. The market takes place every Saturday until the end of September.

Esquimalt Farmers’ Market

Taking place each Thursday until September 14 in Memorial Park, Esquimalt Framers’ Market offers a fantastic lineup of vendors, food trucks and musicians offering the best produce, food and crafts that Vancouver Island has to offer.

Moss Street Market

Over 30 local and organic farmers take part in Moss Street Market each Saturday until October. You can expect some amazing prepared-foods and hot food vendors, as well as dozens of local crafters and artisans.

Victoria Public Market

Located in the historic Hudson building in downtown Victoria, Victoria Public Market showcases a fantastic range of fresh local meats, locally-produced cheese, farm-fresh groceries, handmade pies, fresh baked breads and oils and vinegars every day. There’s also a children's play centre, community events and live music to enjoy.

If you’re looking for a great Victoria hotel to use as a base, The Days Inn Victoria Uptown is the perfect option. Offering breathtaking views of the Gorge Waterway by day and the sparkling lights of the BC Legislature Building by night, the hotel is a fantastic accommodation option for a long weekend getaway on Vancouver Island this summer.
