Victoria, BC Attractions & Tours

Vancouver Island is rated as the top island in the continental USA and Canada and ranks among the top 10 islands worldwide, according to a recent Travel+Leisure World Best Awards list. With an abundance of eco-tourism opportunities, a thriving Inner Harbour and gardens galore, it’s no wonder people flock to Victoria, the island’s largest city.

Victoria Attractions

Our helpful staff at Days Inn Victoria Uptown would be happy to offer you some suggestions on what to do and see in Victoria, but to get you started, we’ve created a short-list of places to visit during your stay in Victoria:

The Selkirk Trestle

A must-do while staying at our hotel, this wonderful foot and bike bridge offers stunning views of the Gorge Waterway and the Inner Harbour. You are almost certain to see some local wildlife, along with avid paddlers and rowers.

Hoyne Brewing Company

Ask any local about their favourite local beers, and there is a strong chance Hoyne Brewing's “Dark Matter” will be among them! Hoyne Pilsner and Alpha Acid are also among their star lineup.

Glo Restaurant & Lounge

Did someone say signature martinis? The “lemon meringue” is a favourite of several staff members. Located right on the water, Glo offers delicious fare for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with something for the whole family to enjoy. Gluten free or vegetarian? There are plenty of options for you too!

Saltchuck Pie Company

This local restaurant makes pies in the style of Australia and New Zealand, from all the way across the Saltchuck (which means “ocean” in Chinook, a local pidgin language). There are also dessert options to satisfy your sweet tooth. These scrumptious pies are also offered at Moon Under Water- if you are lucky enough to get one before they are all gone!
