On Foot

Are you an avid hiker? When it comes to hiking, Victoria has it all. Visit VictoriaTrails.com for all of the hikes you can enjoy while you stay with us at the Days Inn Victoria Uptown. There are plenty of walking tours to enjoy when you visit, including A Taste of Victoria Food Tour, Ghostly Walks and Come See Victoria – History and Architecture Walking Tours. You may have to drive or get a taxi to the tour company, but the rest is all on foot.

If you feel like a rejuvenating long walk after a hot breakfast at our on-site Old Coachman Eatery you can reach downtown Victoria in under 40 minutes. There you can enjoy a variety of fun things to do and see, including Fisherman’s Wharf Park, whale watching tours and numerous shops, pubs, and restaurants.

By Bike

As the cycling capital of Canada, Victoria has some fantastic trails and paths to bike along. We offer bicycle rentals for a nominal fee in case you don’t have one. Our hotel is just steps away from the popular 60-kilometre Galloping Goose Trail, which can take you along Victoria’s stunning waterfront right into the downtown core. You can also stop by Banfield Park along the way, have a picnic and see some stunning scenic sights from the water’s edge.

By Car

We have plenty of activities and attractions less than a 30-minute drive from our hotel. See hundreds of gorgeous flowers in bloom at Butchart Gardens located in Brentwood Bay, approximately a 20 to 25-minute drive from our hotel. If you have a passion for museums, swing by the Royal BC Museum and check out various exhibitions and historic displays. It is less than a ten-minute drive away.

Stroll the narrow streets of Fan Tan Alley in Canada’s oldest Chinatown - just a five-minute drive from the Days Inn Victoria Uptown. Fan Tan Alley was once a hot spot for gambling, opium dens, restaurants, and shops. Nowadays, you’ll find organic treats, vintage records, homemade ice cream, imported clothing, gifts and so much more.

If you love to shop, Mayfair Shopping Centre is less than a five-minute drive from our hotel. You can walk over, but if you shop and purchase items, you might want to drive. Browse through a variety of brand name stores, including Coach, Roots, The Gap, Pandora, Aldo, and Banana Republic.

If you want to take the whole family for some outdoor fun, visit the Gorge Waterway Park, less than a ten-minute drive from our property. The park follows a 1.7 km stretch of the beautiful Gorge Waterway between Tillicum and Admirals Roads. Enjoy horticultural displays, playgrounds, interpretive signs and benches, swim fest activities, inner tubing races, public art and so much more.
