The Inner Harbour

This bustling working harbour is truly the heart of Victoria, with a picturesque boardwalk complete with lively buskers, dining, shopping and more. This is where you will find most of the city’s whale watching and eco-tourism out fitters, chartered float planes and marinas featuring seafood fresh off the boat. The Inner Harbour is home to several festivals and local community events happening year-round.

The Royal BC Museum

One of B.C.’s most cherished cultural treasures, the Royal BC Museum, features permanent displays and temporary exhibits showcasing this province’s natural and human history. Located near the Inner Harbour, the museum is open daily from 10 a.m to 5 p.m., except Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

British Columbia Legislature Buildings

Open year-round to the public, the Legislature Buildings offer a unique glimpse into the goings-on of B.C.’s government and political opposition. Self-guided or guided tours are available Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Guided tours are 30-45 minutes long. During the peak summer season, the Parliament Buildings are open seven days a week, including statutory holidays.

Victoria IMAX

Located inside the Royal BC Museum, the Victoria IMAX features B.C.’s largest IMAX screen with a rotating line-up of both educational films and feature Hollywood blockbusters. Check out the latest movies and fascinating science-based films with crystal-clear images wraparound digital surround sound for an immersive cinematic experience.

Butchart Gardens
