There’s plenty of scope to go off and do your own thing when you visit Victoria, but it’s not that you necessarily have to invent your own entertainment, oh no. There are always fun things happening in Victoria, especially up on the stage. Whatever form of cultural entertainment you find most enjoyable, be it music, comedy, or theatre, you’ll find it well catered for on Vancouver Island. Just look at what we have coming up from mid-February and into March: three stage performances, none of which are like any of the other. Check out the details below.

The Bowie experience

David Bowie, an idol to many, was taken far too early. However, though the man has gone, his music lives on, and you can even seen his most iconic tracks performed live. ‘A Night of Bowie: The Definitive Bowie Experience’ will be taking place on March 2 at Alix Goolden Performance Hall. It might not be the real David, but it’s for sure the next best thing.

Improv comedy

Sin City Improv Serial is on its way to becoming an institution in Victoria. The hilarious troupe return on Sundays from February 2 through to March 3 at the Belfry Theatre Studio as part of their “Castaways” shows. If you’re ready and willing to laugh, then get on down there.

On the stage

Experience the best of Canadian theatre right in Victoria by attending the Spark Festival at the Belfry Theatre. It’ll be taking place from March 8 through to March 24, and will include four productions as well as workshops.

After an evening of being entertained, return to the best hotel in Victoria, the Days Inn Victoria Uptown Hotel. There’s a range of room types to choose from, including queen rooms, suites, and pet-friendly accommodations, amongst others, so you can stay in a room that’s perfect for your needs.
