Keep on Running: The Goodlife Fitness Victoria Marathon Weekend

Taking place on Friday, October 4 to Sunday, October 7, the Goodlife Fitness Victoria Marathon Weekend is a big hit with runners from across the globe.
 
This year’s Marathon Weekend features four different races: the Marathon (Main and Early Start), Half Marathon, 8K Road Race, and the Thrifty Foods Kids Run.
 
The Marathon
You can expect plenty of seaside vistas and mild undulations on this world-renowned marathon course. And if you’re a runner who wants to expand your marathon experiences, the Victoria Marathon can be used as a qualifying race for the Boston Marathon.
 
The Marathon Early Start
If you are going to take over five hours and 30 min to complete the Marathon, you need to start with the Early Marathon start group. The course closes at 2 pm so start early if you wish to complete it!
 
The Half Marathon
You don’t fancy the full Marathon? No worries. The Half Marathon follows a good portion of the Marathon route and you will enjoy beautiful Victoria landmarks throughout.
 
The 8K Road Race
This fast-paced scenic 8K Road Race is a fast-paced route will take you through downtown, Beacon Hill and to the finishing along the oceanfront.
 
The Thrifty Foods Kids Run
This 1.25 km loop starts on Menzies just off Kingston, is open to all kids 12 years and under. Parents can run with their kids and after the run, there’ll be music, snacks and special guests.
 
There will also be a free Race Expo and a Speaker Series taking place at the Victoria Conference Centre over the weekend.
